RVA to Host Black Tennis Hall of Fame 15th Annual Induction Ceremony
The Black Tennis Hall of Fame is set to acknowledge and honor black excellence in tennis with their 15th annual induction ceremony at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture on September 23, 2023. Over the years, this organization has recognized legendary athletes, coaches, and contributors to the sport of tennis. As the years go by, the Black Tennis Hall of Fame continues to honor these trailblazers and inspire future generations of African American players.
This year’s ceremony also features keynote speaker, former world #11 and 1996 Wimbledon finalist, MaliVai Washington.
The 2023 class of inductees includes the following notable figures who have made significant contributions to the sport of tennis and the communities within which they live: Dr. John Andrew Watson, Jr., Cecil Hollins, Eddie Davis, Edward John Davis and Ronald Landfair.
As we look forward to this year’s event, please join in celebrating the accomplishments of these exceptional individuals and the impact they have had on the world of tennis. For more information or to register for this event click here.
