This service package, provided exclusively to VA nonprofit organizations, includes support in the following areas*:

• Articles of Incorporation and Bylaw questions

• Corporate governance questions

• Registered agent service

• SCC annual reports

• E-mail and telephone consultations

• Board or committee meet ing presentations (e.g. , new board member orientation)

• Meeting minutes and board resolutions

• Periodic e-newsletters containing practical governance and compliance tips, responses to questions commonly asked by nonprofit leaders, and recent developments

• Unrelated business income tax

• Charitable fundraising

• Auditor ’s response letters

• IRS public disclosure requirements

• Form 990 filing requirements

* The service package includes your choice of 2 hours ($500) or 10 hours ($1500) of legal assistance per year (additional assistance available at a discounted hourly rate).

ABOUT ERIC: Eric Perkins is a business and nonprofit attorney with over 20 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations across Virginia at all stages of operation— from startup to dissolution. Understanding the unique dynamic of volunteer-based organizations, board staff relationships, and the ever-growing pressures to increase and diversify revenue sources, Eric brings a collaborative, practical, and compliance-focused approach to working with nonprofit organizations. He is an active member and supporter of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, ConnectVA and Goochland Chamber of Commerce.
