Nonprofit organizations, staff , and executives can enjoy access to legal advice and resources covering a wide variety of corporate governance, entity maintenance, and 501(c) compliance issues.

This service package, provided exclusively to VA nonprofit organizations, includes support in the following areas*:

• Articles of Incorporation and Bylaw questions

• Corporate governance questions

• Registered agent service

• SCC annual reports

• E-mail and telephone consultations

• Board or committee meet ing presentations (e.g. , new board member orientation)

• Meeting minutes and board resolutions

• Periodic e-newsletters containing practical governance and compliance tips, responses to questions commonly asked by nonprofit leaders, and recent developments

• Unrelated business income tax

• Charitable fundraising

• Auditor ’s response letters

• IRS public disclosure requirements

• Form 990 filing requirements

* The service package includes your choice of 2 hours ($500) or 10 hours ($1500) of legal assistance per year (additional assistance available at a discounted hourly rate).

Understanding the unique dynamic of volunteer-based organizations, board staff relationships, and the ever-growing pressures to increase and diversify revenue sources, Eric brings a collaborative, practical, and compliance-focused approach to working with nonprofit organizations.
